Smart buy in St Leonards

Buyers with a vision have snapped up two adjoining apartments in the Audrey development in St Leonards.

Architect and former Lane Cove deputy mayor Soo-Tee Cheong and his wife Mary have paid $5.05m for the units to create one large three-bedroom, two-bathroom 192sq m apartment with 22sq m terrace. Soo-Tee did a sketch design of his ideal combined apartment and the developer. Hyecorp, worked with the pair to bring his vision to life.

Their son, Marcus, also bought a three-bedroom apartment in Audrey so they could live close together.

Soo-Tee recently received the Medal of the Order of Australia for outstanding service to architecture, urban planning and the community.

Audrey is at 13-19 Canberra Ave. —SN
